Start with a clear picture of the project

Getting an estimate does not have to start with a long phone call. A well-prepared text can help explain what you need and make the first conversation more useful. For drywall installation, finishing, sanding, touch-ups or painting, the goal is to show the space and describe the result you want.

Take a wide photo and a close-up

A wide photo shows the full wall, ceiling or room. It gives context that a close-up cannot, including corners, nearby surfaces and access to the area. Add a close-up when there is a damaged spot, rough seam or particular detail you want addressed. Photos taken in good light are easier to understand. Avoid filters that could hide the actual condition of the wall.

Describe the work, in your own words

You do not need to know construction terminology. “I need drywall in this room,” “these seams still need finishing” or “I want this wall repaired and painted” are useful starting points. Mention what has already been done and which parts you want included. If you need both drywall work and painting, say that in the first message.

Include the location and approximate size

Share the city or ZIP code and approximate dimensions if you have them. Say whether the work involves one wall, several rooms, a ceiling or a commercial space. Mention ceiling height or difficult access where relevant. Rough measurements are helpful context, but they do not replace a review of the project.

Tell us about timing and access

Let us know when you would like the work completed and whether the space is occupied. Furniture, appliances and other work happening at the same time can affect planning. If there is ongoing moisture or damage, include that information too, rather than describing only the visible mark.

Use this simple starting message

“Hi, I would like an estimate for [service]. The project is in [city or ZIP]. It involves [area or rooms]. I have attached photos, and I would like the work completed around [timeframe].” Text your details to (678) 768-7540. Photos and an initial message start the conversation; final scope and pricing depend on a review of the work needed.
